The technologies being developed at InnoMountain include the wireless technology and the IoT software technology

 The Wireless Technology

Our wireless technology solution has core innovations enabling a new generation of wireless technology with larger coverage area, higher data rate, lower latency, lower power consumption, low hardware complexity and deployment costs, and simplified network management. Our core technology is highly customizable and highly flexibile to adapt to particular industrial needs.

Our wireless technology solution can reach remote areas where fiber connections are difficult to deploy. Our technology is robust to outdoor weather conditions, with guaranteed access under adverse weather conditions; the technology is designed for high-data-rate access with an extended coverage area. One example is to support high-definition surveillance video, low-latency, and high-data-rate transmission at a large coverage distance with a low deployment cost.

The core innovations of our wireless technology include:

Innovations in Wireless Physical Layer Transceiver

The millimeter wave (mmWave) frequency band has a GHz-scale bandwidth, however mmWave signal has a large attenuation in urban areas and under adverse weather conditions. These limitations are challenging for the large-scale deployment of mmWave access points for urban coverage and outdoor access. InnoMountain designs innovative physical layer transceiver to resolve the mmWave signal attenuation issue, enabling undisrupted high-bandwidth mmWave wireless connectivity.

Key innovations in mmWave transceivers enable low-power and km-scale coverage of broadband wireless data access. The technology built on software-defined radio is highly flexible and can be deployed under any outdoor terrestrial and offshore site conditions, providing solar and wind farms with Gigabit/s data access speed at low deployment costs.

Innovations in Spatial Data Multiplexing Scheme

Signal reception in the ultra-low SNR region is challenging in wireless physical layer designs. InnoMountain designs an innovative scheme to multiplex data based on massive MIMO antenna arrays to improve signal reception in the ultra-low SNR region. The innovation effectively extends coverage, given the same transmitting power, and outperforms the conventional MIMO data multiplexing scheme.

In comparison with the current mainstream connectivity technology, the technology at InnoMountain targets resolving the limitations of existing connectivity solutions to provide an enhanced solution to clients.

The technology has applications in multiple industrial areas:

1) Outdoor Industrial IoT Connectivity: the solution is designed for enterprises looking to establish private wireless networks for secure wireless connection and monitoring of industrial equipment. The industries include energy, smart city, logistics, agriculture, etc.

2) Broadband Access and IoT Connectivity: the wireless fixed broadband access solution is for high-speed and large-coverage-area fixed broadband access in various industries, including smart building/smart campus, commercial and residential high-speed internet wireless access, manufacturing automation, HD video transmission

3) Vehicle and Robotics Wireless Connectivity: the solution provides multi-robot connectivity for computer vision and machine learning tasks running on multiple robots/vehicles. The solution also provides direct vehicle-to-vehicle wireless network, supporting real-time machine learning inference on multiple robots with ultra low latency.

The IoT Software Technology

Our IoT software technology is developed on industrial mainstream app and cloud development platforms, to provide IoT monitoring and data analytics solutions to industries including transportation, energy and facility management.  Our next-generation IoT app and cloud platform combines cutting-edge positioning technology with advanced GIS navigation capabilities.

IoT Software Platform with Integrated Positioning and Navigation on GIS Map

Our platform technology achieves high positioning accuracy through a joint processing of multi-domain radio signals for outdoor and indoor scenarios, creating a location-aware system that bridges indoor and outdoor environments.  Our mobile app interface provides real-time navigation while the cloud backend processes the image and time-series data, transforming traditional monitoring into intelligent, location-driven remote data visualization on the GIS map.

The IoT software technology has applications in multiple industrial areas:

1) Transportation and parking management: the status of the parking spot is remotely monitored and the occupancy is detected and reported to the administrator. The real-time parking availability status will inform the drivers the proper parking facilities, including the EV charging station facilities, and further guide the navigation to these facilities in indoor environments via indoor positioning technology and systems.

2) Powerline drone inspection applications: the drone's video and image inspection data are geo-labeled on the digital map, with the image processed in the cloud for powerline issue detection and notifications to the powerline operators. The navigation route of the drone is guided by the positioning system that can perform accurate positioning and navigation guidance in GPS-denied environments.

3) Smart building facility monitoring applications: The monitoring data of the building equipment is analyzed by intelligent cloud management software, based on the indoor map information of the building under monitoring, and stores and analyzes time-series and image data. Analytical results and reports are sent to the phone apps of building owners and managers for the follow-up maintenance of the facilities.
